Moore Angus has been producing Registered Black Angus seed stock bulls, prime heifers, and cows since 1970. We are located in East Texas in Angelina County, near Lufkin – three hours from Dallas, and about two hours from Houston. Our location allows us to serve both commercial and purebred Angus cattle ranchers primarily in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas.

Our Program
At Moore Angus we raise and sell high quality seed stock bulls, registered Angus and commercial cattle. We focus on genetics specifically known for progeny with a history of performance, low birth weight and high dollar beef. All of our cattle are tested for any known genetic defects, and all sires are fertility tested and guaranteed prior to delivery.

Our Background
Moore Angus was founded in 1970 by Raymond Moore, who began raising registered Angus cattle

	in the late 1960s. Moore Angus is still operated on the Moore Farm, and managed by Raymond’s Son and Nephew, Brian and Ben. In 2013, Brian and Ben officially partnered in the cattle business with a main goal of raising and selling seed stock bulls, and registered Angus and commercial cattle. Ben is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University. In addition to managing the ranch, Ben is a licensed Texas Realtor and operates a commercial building construction company, as well as a property management company. Ben enjoys ranching, raising cattle and serving as a private pilot in his spare time. He is also a member of the Lufkin Host Lions Club, Museum of East Texas Board of Trustees, Angelina County Area Go Texan Committeeman, Treasurer for Pines Sporting Clays Inc., Member of the Texas Angus Association, and American Angus Association. Ben and his wife Melinda have one daughter, Madeline. Brian attended College of the Ozarks and Angelina College, where he earned an associates degree in Diesel Mechanics. Brian currently owns and operates a heavy highway construction company. He enjoys ranching and raising cattle and is a member of the Angelina College Diesel Advisory Committee, Southwest Cattle Raisers Association, Texas Angus Association and American Angus Association. Working with Moore Angus Visitors are welcome to stop by the ranch at any time, and we invite you to come see our seed stock bulls, prime heifers and cows. If you arrive, and the gate is locked, Ben and Brian’s cell numbers are displayed on the highway sign, and usually one of us is close by.
